more than a detail
Ryosuke Cohen (Brain Cell Fractal #634 (detail))
well, i guess this is a bit more than a "detail": it's a whole half of BCF 634! (full dimensions: 42 X 29.5 cm) i won't try and guess who all did what here (but i do see Billy Mavreas, buZ blurr, the Haddock, etc.) but i particularly want to point out: "an index to 1496 o729..." that's the cover logo &c. from jwcurry's index to my old VAN zine (here's a scan of the cover: http://bentspoon.blogspot.com/2005/09/jw-curry-did-i-miss-something.html) & here's the vanlist: http://www3.telus.net/van364/Vanlist.htm
anyway here's Ryosuke Cohen:

HAT HITS 100!
here's the complete list:
http://www3.telus.net/van364/hatlist.htm
Hat is my little photocopy broadside-type zine... most issues are a single 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of white paper folded in half: giving 4 pages (or so)... Hat is a continuation of Van: http://www3.telus.net/van364/Vanlist.htm which i produced out of Vanderhoof, B.C. & itself was a continuation of Mo' Gumbo which i did in Victoria, B.C. at the end of 1999? (2000?) (only 23 or so issues)
anyway, if anyone is interested in picking up any of the issues they are all available as reprints (at an atrocious price!) plus some of them are still in stock (the most recent 10 or so) [i only make 50 copies!] & subscriptions are available too (for future issues) ...

Escargot Cult Award - $400
Laurie Dunn "Window Box"
the [mailsnail] gang scraped together a "modest cash prize" ($300? $400?) as a sort of lifetime achievement award for the Canadian poet Andy Suknaski... (this is the second attempt to award one to one of our heroes, the first one was turned down! (by Gerry Gilbert))
Andy is famous for dropping poems from airplanes & leaving them on mountain-tops, etc. & has quite a few books to his credit (even some concrete/visual poetry!)

sunset or sunrise?
John R. Barlow "Moulin Rouge"
this is the interior of a mailing by John Barlow: couple of nice readymades: "one drop does it" (reminds me of something else) & gotta love that numerological delight:
808
343
plus if i'm not mistaken that a collaboration with Jim Leftwich there (but is it a genuine or a fake collaboration? if barlow spills a beer on a leftwich piece does it make it a "collaboration"?) ... & i wish i could say that was some poetry bucks there, but i guess we'll have to confess that they're hockey bucks! john's got his priorities straight!
